And as per the instructions of Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) and Area Director Udanti Sitanadi Tiger Reserve Raipur, under the guidance of Mr. Mayank Agarwal, Divisional Forest Officer, Balodabazar, a workshop is being organized for awareness on the occasion of "World Elephant Day, August 12, 2023" at Baranwapara Sanctuary. Workshop Postal envelope, post card and postage stamp of wild elephants of Baranvapara Sanctuary will be released by the Indian Postal Department in 2016. So that through postal facility, with the objective of conservation and promotion of wild elephants and public awareness, they will come on the national scene. After the release of the post, it is a unique initiative to conserve elephants and reduce human-elephant conflict by taking the members present in the program to visit the areas inhabited by elephants in Baranwapara Sanctuary, so that the presence of elephants in Baranwapara and its ecological impact can be made known to the general public. On the occasion of World Elephant Day, in addition to the workshop, an online quiz competition related to elephants has been organized by Baranvapara Sanctuary. On August 12, 2023, an online quiz competition has been organized between 04:00 pm to 05:00 pm for 01 hour. Free registration can be done in the said online quiz competition till 05:00 pm on 11/08/2023. In addition to the first, second, third, participants, prizes will be given to the participants from 4th to 20th number. The main objective of this program organized on the day of "World Elephant Day" is to contribute to the conservation and promotion of wild elephants and to reduce the human-elephant conflict and try to keep this ecosystem balanced.
